How You Can Help
You are already helping! Everyone who takes an interest in Iraq’s ancient heritage helps to preserve and develop it. Please follow our progress, and encourage others to do so too.
What We Need Now
We have been fortunate to have the initial support of our founder donors, and we will now build on that. The project receives no statutory funding, and the amounts available from academic grants are limited. The greatest need is for pledges of repeat funding, to give us the stability to plan ahead with confidence. Of course, one-off donations are welcome too. UK taxpayers may donate through the British Institute for the Study of Iraq (BISI), a registered charity. Please get in touch if you think you or your company or organisation can help: info@urarchaeology.org
Volunteers
We believe very strongly that volunteers have an important part to play in archaeology and heritage work, but conditions in Iraq mean that it is not currently possible for volunteers to participate directly in fieldwork. However, if there is something you or your friends might be able to do, tell us!
